Zone Defender Squad is a new addition to GDI's zone infantry.
Tiberium Essence[]
They are only available via Tacitus Archive to GDI commanders. Their powerful sonic rifles are useful against both infantry and vehicles, but they are most effective against Tiberium-based units and structures. They can also attack enemy aircrafts with the missile launchers mounted on their shoulders. Unlike the Zone Troopers, the Zone Defender Squad can garrison civilian structures, but they are not equipped with jump jets, possibly due to the weight of their armor.
Trivia[]
- They have ZOCOM insignias painted on their armor.
- They use the voice clips of the Sheppard Tank from C&C4.
- Even though they no longer benefit from the Auto Injectors Pack upgrade as of version 1.6, their description still say they do. Also, the upgrade is still referred to as "Power Pack" in the description.
